I still think of Australian Women's Forum as my ideal porn mag. Before it was canned in 2001 I bought every issue for seven years.

AWF was a smart, feminist version of Playgirl. It had male centerfolds, a "letters" section like Forum, erotic fiction, a body image photo spread where everyday couples got naked to show how real people looked in the nude, plus heaps of feature articles on any number of topics, often sexual, but sometimes about politics, health, relationships or similar.

The spirit of AWF lives on in my sites.

Because it was Australian they weren't allowed to show erect dicks. And they never were able to bring out a "black label" edition with couples; a pity.

I think creating a print mag has a lot of risks attached - including the major problem that some women are still too embarrassed to buy porn in public, but good luck if you can pull it off. :)

I'm new here too and have also been lurking - we might as well jump in right?! My husband and I have discussed this at length...what we gather is that Playgirl doesn't cut it - you have to leave a little more to the imagination with guys because lets face it, it is difficult to make a guy with a limp willie and a forced position look sexy. I think the 'everyday' situations like a man shaving or a construction worker all sweaty and dirty - obviously with well placed clothing - or not makes a girls heart beat a little quicker - remember the Coke commercials with all of the women watching that guy across the street...obviously you could go much further with it in a mag. It is definately a hard image to put across - I personally would rather look at women naked even though I love men. I'm also doing a lot of research right now for an upcoming project so if I come across anything enlightening I will let you know! Good Luck!

I would like to see something like The Sun ... but porno. Interviews, non-fiction/investigative, short fiction, some poetry and a few choice photos... and of course - the Readers Write section (my favorite section of The Sun - I'd love to read an x-rated version!).
