i'm not sure if this came up before (i did a quick browse of the topics and couldn't find it), but i was wondering what folks thought of the suicide girls? i know they're not porn, but they are burlesque, right?--so fairly sexual in terms of imagery and performative nature.

Re: suicide girls
Thu, January 19, 2006 - 7:56 PMAs far as I know, there's no Suicide Boys, and that's what I don't like. If I were into girls that'd probably the site I'd hit when I needed my fix. Anything that supports modded and otherwise alternative-looking porn models is a good thing by me. -

Boys in panties. It's a Portland, Oregon start-up but one of the founders is moving to Chicago and taking the idea with him to spread the love of panties. There's no sign-up fees to look at the galleries. -

Re: suicide girls
Thu, January 19, 2006 - 11:36 PMi think the girls get to be pretty generic seeming pretty quick. that and them being owned in part by a guy makes me less than excited. but i like bigger girls and there ain't really any there, so...
for more diversity i like nofauxxx.com -

Re: suicide girls
Wed, January 25, 2006 - 2:14 PMi actually really like it. it would be less annoying if it had been started by women, but i generally like the community and some of the photo sets are really really creative (like Q and Caorl's). plus it's a nice place to display your own sexuality in a not so censored environment. although, cuz of some bullshit litigation, some the better very explicit pictures are down at the moment which pisses me off cuz i'm paying for that shit : ( plus my boyfriend loves it so it's a nice thing to share. i'm all for it at the moment. -

Wed, January 25, 2006 - 8:55 PMaaaaaaaaand their burlesque show was really hot.
*cough*
it was actually a pretty gender-mixed audience too, which was fabulous. -

Re: suicide girls
Wed, February 8, 2006 - 5:50 PMI have to agree that it becomes quite generic after a while.
I think it surely pleases men and bi-curious women...
I used to like them at the beginning but they quickly became commercial and lost their alternative appeal, at least for a queer woman like me. The models are also getting thinner and thinner and their looks are closer to main stream but with an edge.
It is better then many other erotic ressources on the web but I am still somewhat unsatisfied...
I also like nofauxx quite a lot because it is true queer erotic/porn material.
I saw their burlesque show last year with the band "the gossip", their show was awesome on stage, interesting numbers and gender play.

Re: suicide girls
Sun, March 5, 2006 - 10:32 AMI've always wanted to see the show, but as for the web and someof the print material I have to say it got old rather quickly. I appreciate where the concept started, but have to agree that the models look more like generic girls paid to be edgy instead of women who actually live and breath the lifestyle. If I wanted to watch women fake being sexy, I'd just go to a DC strip club.
Will definitely check out nofauxx, had not heard of them before. I need to come up for air and read this tribe more often.
