I haven't seen Sugar High Glitter City (it's not available on DVD), but here's the short list of what I love (and hate).

• A little context (but not too much). As far as I'm concerned, Outlaw Ladies got this exactly right. The theme is women who get off by breaking social conventions. Each section could stand on its own, and there are no well-defined leading roles. • Thoughtful music that actually reflects what's happening in the scene. Mixed at a volume that doesn't obscure the sex sounds. I'd say "no music," but that isn't a practical idea for most adult productions.

• Sex-positive chemistry. No judgments toward anyone who truly lives a BDSM or fetish lifestyle, and I'm not asking for artificial, overly strict constraints (à la Candida Royalle). But at the same time, I don't relate to the aggressive verbal attacking/slapping/choking (and worse) trend which has become frighteningly common. That's completely unexciting and anti-erotic to me.
