It's never too late. I get new titles daily, always have hundreds on hand, and am always interested in bringing aboard new reviewers (especially women!)
In fact I'm working on a homepage announcement to highlight the club's reviews right now...
To those who have had trouble reaching me, all I can say is please try again - email with clear subject line and no attachments. I have received quite a few emails from club members recently, so hopefully you got thru.
Reviewers - please submit reviews on our site. There's a "write a review" link on our menu. Please remember to include (SGPC) in your reviewer name. The reviews so far have been fantastic:

Fri, January 21, 2005 - 11:58 AMPlease do not request movies that you are not going to review. I've sent out a lot of DVDs. Some people have not reviewed a single disc from shipments that I sent a month ago. I get these DVDs from studios so that they get reviewed. If they don't reviewed I'm not going to receive them anymore.
From now on I have to ask that you submit a sample review before asking for screeners. You can submit them here:

I've been finding myself getting "gleeful" too when I've trawled through a whole bunch of scenes and find one that shines...if I could compile them it'd be perfect. The kooky part of me imagines holding up a scene that appears to "work" as a learning example and dissecting it in front of a crowd, you know with a big pointer, saying "here, see this bit, this is where we see the performers have some kind of connection, see how the director captures their reactions..." :)

In fact I think we should found an international pornography institute -- (we'd need a good name with a suitably filthy acronym) a place of higher learning for aspiring pornographers or established pornographers in need of a refresher course, and performers could attend too...perhaps a seperate thread? I first noticed Brayn's stuff in a conversation at ADT about boxcover copy -- I like that his DVD's almost always have copy that appears appreciative of the female performers who appear in the movies in contrast to the trashy writing we've come to expect...

And it's very true -- especially for little indie companies like Comstock Films, having actual requests from customers is a powerful tool in getting titles onto store shelves. Once they know there's a demand, retailers are much more likely to take a chance on something new and different. -
